Hi, There! Thanks for visiting; I am so glad you are here. You know, throughout my years in real estate I have often been asked how I got started, what a day in my shoes is like and most importantly why I became a Realtor? The answer for me is simple; Passion. Passion has been the driving force for me throughout the years, and it is still what drives me forward to embrace the challenges ahead. I have a real passion for helping people.
Whether it be helping a client buy their first home or move on to the next, I love being a part of the story of how they finally found their “dream” home, how they got in “just before Christmas”, or how they found the “perfect” home to raise their family.
My Real estate story began in 2003 when I became a Realtor. I remember being 9 months pregnant with my youngest daughter Kristin, and writing my final exam keeping all fingers and toes crossed that I wouldn’t go into labour right then and there! I got a big round of applause from all my classmates when I turned in my exam, all happy and relieved for me. I had very little down time after my daughter was born and went to work one week later. Real estate was a smooth transition for me having worked in the financial industry 6 years prior to that.
From my early days in the business I decided what kind of business I wanted. I wanted a “relationship business”-the kind that had humanity behind it. It was not just about selling another home but about the people involved and the next chapter in their life. I decided that I was not interested in volume, and that what was most important for me was having a great impact on a smaller group. I also decided that I would grow organically. I was not interested in being a top producer that could not keep up with demand, sacrifice the level of service and personal attention I provided to my clients, or never see my family.
To the present day this is the philosophy on how I operate my business. I have a thriving business that is 80% referral based and repeat clients that come back and are happy to refer others. Although I have office assistants, all my clients deal directly with me and I am always a phone call away.
Being accountable, reliable and establishing a strong connection with my clients is what is most important to me, because it allows me to better understand, adapt and fulfill their needs. I always live by the philosophy that you get what you give, and my business operates the same way-I always deliver the same level of service that I expect as a customer-nothing but the best.
I have to admit that I have the biggest soft spot for “first time buyers”. I absolutely love helping people reach their dreams of home ownership. I will never forget the feeling I had when I bought my first home and I can not describe how incredibly thrilling it is to hand someone the key to their first home.
The challenge for me is always finding the “sweet spot” between having a successful business and being a “hands on” mom. Knowing when enough is enough and defining success on my own terms-one client at a time, one home at a time.
For my clients their home is their most valuable asset. Whether it is their first or “the next”, their home represents not only their biggest financial investment, but a place of comfort, security and enjoyment. A place of new beginnings or the next chapter; it is a responsibility and a challenge that I do not take lightly, and feel proud to be a part of- After all, home represents all those things to me too.
I would be thrilled to help YOU with your next real estate venture!
How can I help you?
